Day Two - Leading Others
The second day focuses on leading people and teams in dynamic and uncertain environments. You’ll explore trust, communication, and influence through practical outdoor leadership challenges in the Lake District.
Themes: Trust & Influence, Motivation, Team Dynamics, Adaptive Leadership.

You’ll leave with a renewed sense of purpose, clarity on your personal leadership vision, and a concrete action plan to continue your growth back in the workplace.

Whether you're stepping into leadership for the first time or you’ve been leading for years and want to grow, this course gives you the space, tools, and challenge to become the leader you’re capable of being. Ideal for anyone who wants to develop self-awareness, confidence, and the ability to lead others well.
High Performing Teams
Sample Structure - 2 Days
-
Team Dynamics Immersion: The course starts with exercises to understand each other better, why we are all different and why this works. Your team will learn how these differences shape dynamics and impact performance.

-
Outdoor Challenges: Reconnect with the raw, untamed nature of the Lake District. Through a series of exercises, your team will be pushed to solve problems, communicate effectively, and build trust.

-
Real Results: The focus is on building real-world skills like accountability, communication, and collaboration—all while standing shoulder-to-shoulder in challenging environments.

This course is ideal for teams that need to build trust and connection quickly. Whether you’re bringing together new colleagues, merging departments, or strengthening relationships across functions, this experience helps teams break down barriers, communicate effectively, and develop the trust required to perform under pressure. It’s equally suited to project teams, leadership groups, or any collective that needs to move fast and work as one.

Structure
You will arrive at the hostel - style accommodation the afternoon / evening before the course begins. You are likely to be sharing a room but clearly we will try to make it with someone you know. We may well be on the mountain the second night (unless the weather is cataclysmic). There will be a course briefing no later than 19:00 which will explain in detail the structure of the course. After the briefing you can socialise or sit in your room and daydream (that's what I would do) or go for walk in the valley. Day one will commence at 0800 the next morning. The course will finish no later than 16:00 on day two.
Food/ Equipment
Before the course I'll send a kit-list out and if there is anything you don't have I will magic it up in your size. It might even be better than mine. It'll definitely be newer.

In terms of food we will be foraging from the landscape. Only joking. The accommodation will give us options to cook or you may wish to take advantage of the local hostelries. I am not your dad but I generally ask people to stick to a two-drink rule in the evening. In terms of food during the days I will provide a list of suggestions.
