Leadership Development
Two Day Impact Course

I have studied successful leadership extensively across elite sport, military units, expedition teams, culture and business.

From the All Blacks to Elite Forces, from orchestral conductors to social reformers and CEOs, my conclusion is simple:

Leadership is not about position, charisma or control.
It is about behaviour, consistency and the standards you live by.
Leadership doesn’t start with strategy, authority or position.
It starts with behaviour.
Every action, reaction and decision sends a signal. People take their cues not from what leaders say in meetings, but from what they tolerate, excuse or ignore when it matters.
This is what we call role model behaviour.

During the course, leaders will:

-
Clarify their personal leadership values and what they stand for
-
Translate those values into observable, day-to-day behaviours
-
Understand how inconsistency quietly erodes trust and credibility
-
Learn how their behaviour sets the emotional tone for the entire team

Leaders leave with a sharper awareness of the example they are setting — intentionally or otherwise — and the confidence to model the standards they expect from others.

Over two immersive days, I will help leaders reset their approach, strengthen their impact, and learn how to lead themselves, lead others and lead teams.

After two days, leaders leave with:
-
The ability to lead themselves, others and teams.
-
Greater self-awareness
-
Clear personal leadership standards
-
Increased confidence and presence
-
A practical framework they can apply immediately
High Performing Teams
Two Day Impact Course

I have studied high-performing teams extensively across elite sport, military units, expedition teams, culture and business.
From the All Blacks to Philharmonic Orchestras, from mountain rescue teams to fast-growth organisations, the lesson is always the same:

High performance is not created by process alone.
It is created by culture, emotional safety and strong human bonds.

All high-performing teams share a clear understanding of:

-
Who we are
-
Where we are going
-
What behaviour we expect from each other
They feel safe enough to:

-
Speak up early
-
Admit mistakes without fear
-
Challenge poor behaviour respectfully
-
Take responsibility beyond their job description
-
Protect each other’s dignity while pursuing results
This emotional safety is not “soft”. It is what enables speed, accountability and trust

When teams work well together, performance follows.
When they don’t, no amount of strategy, KPIs or talent will save you.

Over two immersive days, I will help your team reset, reconnect and understand what is required to perform at the highest level.

After two days, teams leave with:
-
An understanding of what needs to happen now to make the team perform at the highest level
-
A shared language for performance and behaviour
-
Renewed energy, pride and commitment to the team

Structure
You will arrive at the hostel - style accommodation the afternoon / evening before the course begins. You are likely to be sharing a room but clearly we will try to make it with someone you know. We may well be on the mountain the second night (unless the weather is cataclysmic). There will be a course briefing no later than 19:00 which will explain in detail the structure of the course. After the briefing you can socialise or sit in your room and daydream (that's what I would do) or go for walk in the valley. Day one will commence at 0800 the next morning. The course will finish no later than 16:00 on day two.
Food/ Equipment
Before the course I'll send a kit-list out and if there is anything you don't have I will magic it up in your size. It might even be better than mine. It'll definitely be newer.

In terms of food we will be foraging from the landscape. Only joking. The accommodation will give us options to cook or you may wish to take advantage of the local hostelries. I am not your dad but I generally ask people to stick to a two-drink rule in the evening. In terms of food during the days I will provide a list of suggestions.
